Green Lake to PG to Tyhee Lake

Green Lake was more white then green with all the smoke but still a cool sight.

The best part of our day was in Prince George, paddling down a small section of the Nechako to the Fraser River at Cottonwood Park with my friend Blake. As usual when I'm psyched and enjoying myself.....I forgot my camera, so no pics. You'll just have to believe me that it was amazing. After that we had planned to hit the roll-a-dome but timing ran late so we'll likely pick that up at the end of our trip.

The fires in the Fraser Lake area were pretty wild (even stopped to ask the police hanging put if everything was all good on the highways). Saw the large collection of fire fighters ending their day (big thanks to them for their work). We've had smokey skies the whole trip so far until we hit (ironically) Burns Lake, where we had an oasis of blue skies before the smoke rolled in again.

Tyhee Lake was lovely. Surprisingly clear skies. A great kids bike track.......and HOT showers! Yay!

The city kids aleeping in.
